Glenn should be up here today, I'm headed to an invitation only all you can eat luncheon at Soulman's BBQ. Five minutes from the hangar and great Texas BBQ, what a deal! Although, right this moment Glenn is air to air with the Blues and a couple of F35's, I know he loves BBQ, but he's probably pretty happy just where he is.
Man, I don't think I'm ever going to eat again! The BBQ was wonderful and I picked up two new clients over lunch. Got a call from a wonderful client/friend late this afternoon inviting Sheila and me to a private opening of Paula Deen's new restaurant in Fairview. The event was this evening so we rallied and went. If you are at all familiar with Paula Deen, you know she is the Diva of Southern Comfort food cooking. We were Paula's guests so they pulled out all the stops. Holy cow! we just don't eat like that anymore, this place will hurt you if you're not in Olympic eating shape. The premise is, order any three types of main course, meat loaf, pork roast, southern fried chicken. Then you order four sides and they just keep it coming, including the main dish. I saw the danger from the outset so I tried to pace myself, but it's still just a ridiculous experience, topped off with four deserts. I literally have no plans to eat anything but salad for a month, just absurd. Each and every item was wonderfully prepared, but who in the world eats like this?
Good thought Jo, but they have a "no to go" policy so folks don't order a bunch of food for the rest of the week. It will be interesting to see how that program works, it's hard to believe that there are that many people who still consume food like that these days. The per person tab is not inexpensive, dinner is 24 bucks a person prior to a tip. That's all inclusive, but you're at close to 30 bucks a head all in if you don't drink any alcohol.
Probably don't even need the alcohol, you're drunk on all the food in your belly. Sounds more like order one meal and share family style

That is too bad, but there's still a lot of time and Alliance has a lot of military pull.
And if no planes at all then there is still good company
Spring has sprung and my aerial backlog is growing by the day. I've spent the last 2 hours updating my DJI Phantom 4 Pro firmware....why is this stuff never easy?! The P4P hasn't been out of the case since last Fall and I have a couple of UAS assignments as soon as the wind calms so I figured that I had better get all the components charged and updated. Better get my gimbal fingers back in shape
