When an aging fellow like me can't sleep past 4:00 AM, which happens often, I throw my camera gear in the truck and wander. A couple of images from recent predawn sorties. Both taken with my trusty Hasselblad. The first image I used Kodak Portra 160 and on the second image I was using Cinestill 800T. Cinestill is a new (to me) film that has some interesting qualities, especially in low light.
Guys and Girl I'm sorry to say that I have to scratch my Isap plans.
My mother is going into surgery Feb 2nd and when she comes out I have to take care of her so I have to take days of my vacation roster to do that and that result is that I have not enough spare days also must save some days when she needs radiation therapy..
I'm happy to do that for her as she has taken care of me my whole life
So I will miss the good company but maybe I can find some time in the future to hop over and get me some R&R.
For all those who will attend I wish you all a great time and make some great photo's

First of all, my blood type is B+, anything needed just ask.
I wish our mother good health and a quick nice comeback, my prayers for her to get well sooner.

Very nice Jeff, who makes Cinestill?
Thanks Jim. Cinestill is made by a small boutique company of the same name. They use Kodak Vision 3 motion picture film and it is manipulated to allow processing in C-41. It's an interesting film that I'm just starting to experiment with.

Unfortunate situation J-A, sorry to hear about that. My best wishes to you and you mum, now and for the future.
Well it was already in the pipeline so to speak but had to wait what the outcome was with the hormone treatment.
The surgeon told us that it was small enough to remove and that it was time so everything was put into motion today...

Is that the same as they used in the early days with the big motion pictures those older movies are of such quality and they have enough pixels if I say that correct? that they nowadays are able to edit restore and make a HD quality movie's or copy's of the old classics.
Sorry to hear that, J-A, my thoughts and prayers for the best possible outcome in your mom's surgery. If the timing's right, perhaps come visit Dayton in May when they roll out Memphis Belle and have the fly-in? If not, there will be other opportunities for sure.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mom, wishing her a speedy recovery. You'll be missed (by me especially), but you are where you need to be and we'll find another time to meet up and have some fun.
So, it was 60 right around noon today, with fairly light winds, but by 1 the winds were picking up and the temps were falling. We're headed to the teens tonite with winds 25-35. Whether we get much in the way of snow/ice is tough to predict, but they are treating the roads tonite anticipating the worst. I have a three day assignment beginning at 8 am, weebeesee!
