I didn't get to Duxford as the domestic authorities had a different priority for two members of our family, both with four legs, but one definitely different from all the other participants (anyone want to play Where's Wally?) Our 6 month old puppy and the 11 year old interloper both managed 4.5 miles although the puppy (off the lead) probably did much more!
Fine collection of folks and dogs; I'm on with the "Where's" game but what breed is it --- or is that camo to throw the others off?
Charles
The majority (all but one) are Welsh Springer Spaniels (our 6 month old girl is on the far right) and next to her is our 11 year old Standard Wirehaired Dachshund

I remember! You posted her baby picture. She's growing up fast!
Years ago we were at a training facility and there was this really cool Spaniel I'd never seen before --- when I spoke with the owner it turned out he was a Welsh Springer. Gorgeous dog. And ACTIVE --- well mannered ... but 120% into the activities of the moment.

A few from Duxford today (well, a field somewhere west of Dux)
Weather started fantastic but soon got hazy and murky and we were shooting against the sun
Oh man, there's something about a 5 bladed Spit that just gives me goosebumps.
Folks, I have two old metal-frame MF Nikon lenses that I bought out of some romantic thought of going out and shooting slow-and-peaceful-like, but the reality is that's not me and they've never been used. I bought them for $200 or $300 each, not sure, don't remember.
1 x Nikon 35/2 MF, S/N 248452
1 x Nikon 28/2 MF, S/N 559149
I don't know whether they're AI, AI-S, or what... simply no idea. I do know they don't AF. They both seem to be in great physical shape with clean glass. Anyone who wants them can have them for whatever price you feel is fair, or even for free if you're not in a position to afford one at the moment.
First PM with a name and shipping address gets each lens. If more than one person asks, then one lens per person; if only one person is interested, you can have both. If no one here wants them, I'll put them on B&S in a day or two.
I use a lot of Nikon MF lenses Here's the info for each of the lenses

This week has been very busy. I flew over to Tampa and then drove down to Sarasota for a couple of older model Citation jets, and then I had a call to fly to Philadelphia and photograph a Falcon 2000 for a client.
Here is one of the night shots of the Falcon 2000 from yesterday.
Just to keep this thread going... posting some differently processed photos from a concert back in June. Worked five 12's last week, 4 12's this week....
Was anyone at Duxford on the 23rd? Just ran across a You Tube video showing 2 Mustangs having a mid-air collision during the airshow. Evidently both aircraft (and pilots) survived, but one had to call a May Day, and perform an emergency landing.
It's a long video, and the mid-air is quite a few minutes in. The description tells when the mid-air occurred, if you just want to skip ahead.
Happily it appears that no one was injured, or no aircraft were lost.
EDIT: Video got imbedded in post. Mid-Air occurs about 10:45 in the video
I would imagine that the trailing aircraft will require a prop rebuild/replacement, and probably an engine teardown/rebuild to check the crankshaft for damage.
I suspect that was a very expensive "bump". Very happy to see that no one was injured in the air, or on the ground.

Hi, I was at Duxford on the 23rd but was at the far end of the airfield to where this happened and therefore all I saw was one of P-51’s peel away from the formation. Next thing we knew was “Miss Helen” landed downwind at some speed and shut down on the end of the grass runway. The rumour around the crowd at the time was that it had been a bird strike. There was no alarm or panic, it was all rather sedate and the Display was only temporarily paused whilst the aircraft was recovered.
It was only after the show and talking to some others who had been at the other end of the field that the true story began to unfold.
"The rest" is what most of us do when we can't get to aviation related things. Personally I'm interested in what catches the eye of other people here on the thread.
