A few from Duxford today (well, a field somewhere west of Dux)
Weather started fantastic but soon got hazy and murky and we were shooting against the sun
I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was HOT in the DFW area, and I should know. I photographed this Astra on Saturday and by the time I was done with the interior photographs, I was soaking wet.
Imagine trying to take photos in a dry sauna, that is the best description I can give, about the working conditions, but I LOVE what I do, and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Here's a shot of the Astra jet. Heading to Houston tomorrow for a Falcon 2000 and then over to Sarasota, FL for a couple of Citations to close out the week.
Some beautiful stuff on last couple of pages!
Those B-ONE shots!
The London show and of course Duxford...greatness!
Still a little warm in Texas for airshow season...but it is brewing. From now until the first of November is on!
Last weekend I had the opportunity to join some folks out at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum at Meacham Field ( All static stuff, but some interesting pieces ) for a night photo session.
Fun evening, difficult shooting some of the airplanes because of the lights of the city and the facility. But still a nice opportunity.
( Need more lights and colors for effect! )
Zane, looks like a good opportunity to try some light painting

It's been awhile. This is the ultimate evolution of the Mustang. Voodoo is faster in a straight line now, but Strega is still faster around the pylons.
Does anything there help? Something I'd like to try some night, too
Thanks!
The second part helps a bunch!
My Photoshop skills are not that advanced, and like I said I try to do it in one exposure.
But...Here is a blended shot of the F-111. Subtle differences from the first one I posted and little more like I wanted to get it in the first place. ( Don't look too closely my blending needs work...lol)
It is truly amazing what you can do with the digital platform...
Zane, this one's got more attitude, of the B A kind I'm no PS expert either, but I'm better at it than I was five years ago

Still no airplanes, but I continue to be amazed by the progress in technology. I worked out the numbers, and the D850 has fully four times the processing power of the D810 in terms of throughput (pixels/sec). And here's what my Google Pixel mobile phone was able to do with the Eiffel Tower at night, with essentially zero editing (slight straightening and then resizing for web is all):
