Wow, those conformal tanks sure do change the look of the plane. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't an F-5 instead of an F-16. On another note, you sure do know how to make lemonade from lemon weather!

So many amazing shots. Here's a few of mine as I continue to learn the aviation side of photography. It's not much different from the automotive world, still panning and all..just much faster for the most part.
I hope to try and learn a little by seeing others work on here and maybe picking up a few tips and only grow from here.
Irma wobbled about half way up the peninsula and the edge of the eye actually passed over us near I-4 half way between Orlando and Daytona Beach.
The storm impact was very localized with some high winds and damaging gusts: fortunately our winds were lower; I'd guess 40-50 in gusts. More importantly the usual tornadoes passed us by, while some in our general area were not so lucky. Only fatality so far was carbon monoxide from a generator.
We are doubly fortunate to have had power restored and (now internet)--- all of which are weeks away for some in our area.
Thank You again for your Encouragement, Thoughts and Prayers --- I'm looking forward to getting caught up on all your great posts!
Thanks for the update Charles, glad to know you made it through this devastating storm, "okay" !!
Can't imagine what all these unfortunate people, who have lost everything, are ever going to recover from such destruction.
Prayers for all of them!

I really like that third shot you posted, the black and white one. Great job!
Thanks! Took that at Sun n' Fun in lakeland two years ago. The b-17 is one of my favorite classic aircraft, I love any time i get to see one!

Yeah Orlando resident here too, luckily enough it was minor roof damage and lots of downed fences/tree debris on our side(east side of orlando). Luckily never lost power either. Have friends all over the state and some weren't as lucky....just doing our best to help those we can recover and get back to normal.
Glad to report we're safe and sound, back in Miami as of yesterday afternoon. I cannot emphasize too strongly how much we've been blessed. We have downed trees, flooding, power outages, and all sorts of other grief right around us, but both our houses are intact... and the one we just moved into had its power restored after only 36 hours or so. We have essentially zero damage despite Miami getting hit with 85mph winds and a 3-4 foot storm surge.
We also had essentially zero inconvenience. We got the heck out of Dodge on Wednesday (four days before the storm) and went to Guatemala. I kept working in my office there, and the family had a chance to catch up with family. Getting back was the only challenge, as flights kept getting canceled and we were finally stuck with no commercial flights back to Miami that would get us here in time.
So the one "hit" that we took from the storm was the need to charter a King Air 250 to bring us back... which, though about $8000 more than what the airline trip would have cost, is pennies compared to what we could have lost from the storm if the house had been damaged. And we got a King Air ride to boot!
As noted above, unbelievably blessed and deeply grateful.
