Yup, I went back and read the pages involved and saw that, even Mark's post about his dad.

Remember the recent "unpleasant" discussion started when Jim posted that Texas was rapidly running out of gas, and Jay Davis responded? Well every post in that discussion (except for Jim's original post) is gone. Any post that was part of that discussion has been removed, even if the majority of the post had nothing to do with the disagreement, the post was removed, no matter who wrote it.
I don't know if on reflection Jim, or Jay, decided that the discussion didn't reflect well on them, and asked Fred to "edit" the thread, or if Fred reads MA2A occasionally, and decided to eliminate those posts. Doesn't matter, that's what is missing.
I checked, and it appears that neither Jay's, or Jim's, accounts have been locked, and Jay's earlier posts to MA2A are still up.
As soon as someone mentioned "missing posts" I had a suspicion that the "gas" conversation was removed.
[I posted this on Facebook, on Friday evening; my sister, her cats and I arrived back in Colorado Saturday afternoon.]
My sister lives in Jacksonville, FL. Yesterday afternoon she was driving around town doing errands and preparing to evacuate ahead of Hurricane Irma, when a sheriff pulled her over and told her she was driving on a suspended license and that he was going to have to take her license and her car's plates.
It's probably just a database error, but there's no way to straighten it out until the court system reopens...after the hurricane passes.
Meanwhile, there she was, left in a random parking lot with an undriveable car and no way to get out of harm's way: her friends had already evacuated and all the airline flights out of JAX were booked. What to do?
Bonanza to the rescue! I took off from my home airport north of Denver at dawn and flew to Jacksonville; Marcy met me at a reliever airport west of town with her suitcase and her two cats in carriers; we refueled, loaded up and launched back the way I had come, another 400 miles back to Tuscaloosa, where we landed at sunset. All in all, it was 2000 miles and 11 hours in the left seat for me today. But we're out of the danger zone and should be back in Denver mid-afternoon tomorrow.
On final to KTCL Friday evening
Leaving Tuscaloosa Saturday morning. The heavy iron was coming in for the Alabama football game. Roll Tide!

"It was a noisy night, but it's over. Water, power, and gas are still working. I haven't walked around the house to check for damage yet, it's still rather windy out there.
We have plenty of supplies, and both cars are fully fueled."
A troublesome portion of the policy states, "or anything that can be deemed inappropriate." Unfortunately, in this wide, wide world, there may be someone who may deem almost anything as inappropriate.
EXACTLY!
Gee whiz....where on earth does anyone one get a guarantee to never be offended?
Flew up to Pittsburgh, yesterday and then drove down to Morgantown, WV for an Astra jet.
Today, I had a lot of free time on my hands before my plane flew back home, so I went to the Andy Warhol museum in downtown Pittsburgh, really enjoyed my time there.
Hope everyone in Florida has survived the Hurricane. Wow! Can't begin to imagine how everyone's lives have changed since Irma destroyed everything. Praying for complete recovery, no matter how slowly it takes!
