Sorry to hear about the lens disconnecting, you can't have that happening. I felt like the z couldn't be that much better than the EF, but you will love it, and you should get a pretty could price for your EF. You'll never look back.

I don't know if you have also heard this, but my local camera shop told me on the phone this afternoon that Canon is going to be raising their prices on October 6.
No I have not heard this but doesn't surprise me Gero!
Thanks for the "update".

This seems to be a repository for some airshow photos. Finally finished processing mine from the Loveland airshow in CO a couple of weeks ago. These were probably my favorites. (cross post from m43 board)
Imagine building this cargo door across the street from the fuselage on which it will ultimately reside, and knowing that the fit will be precise.................... These guys are good!

A new friend just moved into HQ with Tim and I. Beautiful new Cirrus! He has a ranch at the eastern edge of Yellowstone and he told me yesterday to go as often as I'd like. I believe I'll take him up on that!
I hear you Joe, it's a first for me! I can tell you that I'm going though. He says if you fly into Billings his ranch is about an hour drive and the drive itself is beautiful. Never been, but I'm fixin' to change that.
Anyone who is planning on shooting a military attended air show needs to double check. The shut down means that none of the demo teams will be attending until Uncle Sam is back up and running. The Pacific show this weekend just announced the the Thunderbirds will not be performing.

Pretty good shots and processing for a m43-
Bill as a micro four thirds shooter I resemble that remark. My full frame Canon rarely comes out of the bag these days. I'm shooting the OM-1 & OM-1 II these days plus the Mavic 4 Pro which are all micro four thirds sensors. The quality is amazing and now the only time I go for the Canon is extreme low light conditions.
Well certainly no offense to the OP or you Mike and all you other M43 shooters, it's just that when I tried them I had such a hard time with them some 10-15 years ago and it seems like it was a while before getting better and better, I did like how compact they were and easy to carry hiking and I was always intrigued by the small compact lenses. And by that comment I wasn't necessarily knocking it either.

Yes I visit to Yellowstone would be a great adventure! Suzanne's youngest sister lives between the Tetons and Yellowstone.
Never been in that area.
Great looking hanger!

No offense taken. OM Systems is leading the camera manufacturers in Image stabilization in the mirror-less world. Plus my new OM-1 II has an electronic GND filter which I can’t wait to try out. The OM menus can be overwhelming at first.
