Fine photography Shane! You will fit right in here! Like the landscape here. Rolling plains, lots of trees and nice horizon.

Thanks Dan! That's what you get in the foothills. If you look the other direction, you'll see the Smokies. I absolutely love this area. Seems like you're not too far away, either!

Welcome Shane! Beautiful work, the first image with the clouds laying in the valley is perfection, great choices on times of day, good eye!
The aircraft that was the major subject of our air to air session is "Beta's" new product "Alia". The aircraft is designed to be a short range cargo/package hauler for the likes of FedEx and UPS. You can see the specs in my earlier post. Many have swung and missed at this market, but the "Alia" is on it's was, with huge orders pending and a bright future. The company's market capitalization tells the story, it has gone from a struggling start up to a market cap worth billions. The product is solid and the demand is there. Next step will be to get autonomous flight certification and they'll be off to the races.

We visit Asheville, NC a lot but may have to venture more west once we cross from Virginia to Tennessee. Yes the Smokies are rightly named also!
Well done!

Just got an invitation to Sun'nFun, but I don't think it's remotely likely. Defenders of Liberty at the end of next week and Dyess AFB in April.
The probability of me going to Sun N Fun increased from 75% to 90%, the probability of doing A2A there on Friday is unknown, depending on if they still have seats and if they offer a nice discount in the last minute.
I was doing an assignment for AOPA and, through a series of conversations, I was introduced to a gentleman from Virginia named "The Old Fly Guy". He has a heart for aviation and pilots so in his retirement he began doing podcasts on interesting aviation people around the world, in the hope of sharing their stories and keeping them alive. MA2A was mentioned several times in our conversation. I have no idea how I did, he seemed to think it was a good podcast, I hope so. I've turned him on to several friends who are very interesting people with a lot of aviation history. He liked my mix of a life long involvement in aviation, along with a dedication to photography of winged subjects.

Iconic photo Jim. A little tug on my heart for Andrew, yet just very iconic.
We actually turned North Texas Regional Airport IFR, and they asked if we could wrap our shoot up. We had gotten everything we needed and more, so we packed it up. When we began, right at dawn, there was 90% humidity and not a breath of wind. Didn't take but a couple of runs to blanket the field with a layer of fog. Man we had a good time, Glenn and I always seem to create an atmosphere where incredible imagery takes place.
I was coming back from a shoot in San Antonio years ago and I called him to see if he was available for lunch. We ended up at the Georgetown Airport shooting an Apache Squadron at dusk, that's just how it is when we get together...........
Just a few of our escapades................ Taking Glenn with me on a B25 A2A was what lit the fuse, he fell in love with air to air photography, it's easy to do, the falling in love part I mean..............

What a rush Jim! Nothing more "goosebumpy" than on the tarmac or runway with attack aircraft surrounding you!
