Great series. The second one is very dramatic, with it's salt and pepper steam. The third one looks like she is just crusin'.

Not much activity here lately. I don't have much to offer, but it is a train. I present the Pontiac Aztek of trains: Amtrak 170 in Kalamazoo.

Great series Bryan. Hmmmm, I wonder who has the right of way in that shot of Y667 merging with traffic. I bet I know who would win if there was any 'question'. lol
I remember about 2 1/2 years ago I saw one of those rail trains but I did not have my camera. It was quite fascinating to watch. It just creeped along without stopping and everything was done in between the ends.

Thanks jbear.
A little tip, you have to stop pointing the lens up at props to see the trains

Nice shot Prashant Verma where was that taken, does not look like the average American passenger train?

Thanks Nikonnubie. It was taken from a moving train in India. There its possible to open the door, hold on to the railing with one hand and take the shot with other while the train is moving

During the month of February and part of January I was in Colorado building a model railroad in a caboose. Traveled by train, of course, and this is the California Zephyr making the stop in Reno headed east.

Regarding the model railroad mentioned in the above post, here is the caboose.

It is an ex-NP built in 1912.

Nice shots everyone! Keep them coming!

Bobl, in that last shot, is the third rail for electricity?

Jumpin in - yeah the middle rail is contacted by a couple spring loaded brass or copper rollers and the wheels are the ground for the motor. Don't know if those pictured are Lionel - but that's how my old 50's & 60's model Lionels are made.

Yup, jbear wins!! Actually, both the track and the locos are MTH, but Lionel stuff works the same and is compatible, for the most part, with MTH.

Thanks for looking and speaking!!
