In Oklahoma due to a family health issue and between trips to and from the hospital, I've managed to snap off a few snapshots... Since I don't know the schedules around here - I couldn't time it for when there were actually a BNSF going by - so i worked with what I had.
35mm Tri-X 320 I think, lens was a 50mm I think, on an EOS-1. Taken in 2003, I think. Sheesh, that's 3 "I thinks", maybe I should take more notes, it hasn't hardly been 5 years haha!
The standard KCS engines that roll through Leesville Louisiana.
A lot of trackside buildings are disappearing, esp. the older commuter sations. This one has been restored with lots of love, and houses the local VFW.

Great shot! Was there a date on the boiler plate?
This one was also built by Baldwin, The date on the plate is 1908.

I don't know if your were replying to me, I didn't see a date, were exactly would it be? I have a few other pictures from different trips, maybe I could find it in one of the shots.
The builder's plate or maker's plate is a cast plate usually mounted on the side of the boiler (modern diesels have long since gone to a much less classy and inexpensived adhesive photo-engraved/stamped thin metal "sticker."
In the picture of the 385 above, you can see the plate on the side, just a bit forwardof ther break between aluminum and black(?) paint.
The shop force has turned out another masterpiece of workmanship. GP-10 locomotive 1981’s unique paint scheme commemorates the Company’s 25th anniversary and the rich heritage of the routes it operates – Frisco, Rock Island and Santa Fe – as all reach or near a century of existence in western Oklahoma." - from the Farmrail website.
