Yes, you might recall some of my older posts, I seemed to be in isolation all right, if memory serves, it was yourself who directed me to the SI article describing the problem.

Within a short time of the MKIIn arriving I had two of them, that demonstrates my confidence in shelling out the readies and replacing relatively new gear.

You値l grow to love the MKIIn, I don稚 think you値l be impressed with the MK3.

Which is not to say, mind you, that your particular Mark II's weren't off the mark. There is certainly a measure of sample to sample variation in the quality and performance of these complex machines.

The AF is dead on on my Mark 3 in one shot and in shooting stationary subjects with AI servo. After 18,000 frames, I've seen none of the weirdness many people have. I had initial problems with tracking birds in flight. FW 1.10 went a long way to solving that problem. I'm hoping the next FW update makes it even better.

What I'm really growing quickly to love is my "new" 1Ds2. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful...

there is nothing the mk2 does that the mk3 does not do better.

Is it just me, or has no one come out and said that Nikon is better?
