p.2 #1 · ARRI Lights - Expirience? Alternatives?

I got ROUTER SPEED CONTRO, It works well for 1K. It changes the color temperature but
I just do another white balance.

I have 5 of them and I paid $19 each.

Barbizon's house brand dimmers are pretty solid - I go to them for a lot of my stage lighting supplies. The Variacs are also solid, though neither will be sufficient for a 5k light.

I did not know about the Barbizon dimmers but it looks like a better choice.

Max,

I went to the guitar center and I saw the LED lights there, you can used them as strobe light or just a light. I like them because it uses only 12wtt and produces 120 footcandles.
I am not wary about the color temperature I will mix this lights with the arri lights and I have to do a whitebalace anyways. This lights are so small that I can carry them in my backpack.
They cost around $150 each.

Well, considering the DMX controls, it's not really meant for video lighting, but rather as lighting installation for music.

How bout the Lowel Ego. has 2 27W flouros in it, that are daylight balanced. 100 bucks (90 at Adorama if you buy more than 1)

I'd buy 3 or 4 and go to town. According to spec, the CRI is 90 plus. The sun (considered the standard color rendering index) is 100, so this thing is pretty color accurate.

How much are the LED's you're looking at, I didnt happen to find a price.
