I have a really nice lens here that I just don't use since selling my smaller bodies and only having the 1 series cameras now. This lens does work with the 1 series cameras, but you lose from about 12-18 with it, leaving me only about 18-24 of usable zoom. I have the 24-70 2.8 so really, this is not quite worth it for me. I believe I have box and all paperwork, etc that came with it. Basically, it looks brand new and upon close inspection, I can not see any marks on it anywhere. The only thing that distingushes it from brand new is some dust on the inside of the hood. The inside of the hood has a velvet texture and that has attacted some dust, but the lens itself looks pristine. Serial is 7102883. Not sure if that means anything. I bought it new about 1.5 years ago and have used it about 6 times. I am more a sports guy and the wide angle stuff is usually left sitting at home. Looks like the lens sells new for about $480-$500. I'll take $439.00 and eat paypal and shipping fees (continental US). I have bought and sold here and have a perfect rating on that auction site (tmg50). I'd consider a trade for a mint PS3.
I have some pictures on the net that I took with it that I could show, but no images of the lens itself at this time. Really, all you need to do is look at the photo at bhphotovideo.com of the lens and that is what mine looks like.
Oops, it is a Canon mount.
