Superb shots, Tony. That 12mm extension tube makes it possible to get such close-ups. Did you use a remote?

Beautiful shots, very sharp with excellent detail and colours! Do you get Anna's Hummingbirds as well?

Just like little breathing jewels I do believe they are showing off for the camera. You've transformed hummers into hams.

Thanks, Norm. Their numbers are dwindling, suggesting they are about to migrate.

Tony,

These are spectacular and so refreshing. The #3 and #4 sequence reminds me of my maltese --- totally zonked out, then he hears a noise and perks up suddenly. Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks, Cris. Unlike your Maltese, these little guys do everything quickly, including the zonked out pose.

Thanks. No remote used. As long as they don't see one of my eyeballs staring at them, they don't get too freaked out.

Thanks. We get the occasional Anna's up this way, but none on our property. The Rufous probably outnumber them 100-to-1, and the Rufous males probably chase them off.
