The bargain Tokina 16-28/2.8 came up short on this project. Lots of ghosts (some very bizarre -- like celestial jellyfish in the sky!), and 28mm is pretty well unusable on the sides wide open -- very blurry. Despite the short comings, I got a few really nice shots. And it was cheap!
The Nikon D800e came through with flying colors. I love its imaging. Now, I just need to figure how to buy the 14-24/2.8. Hopefully, it doesn't ghost like this lens. Anyone have experience with city shots? Or figure how to put the Nikon camera guts behind the Canon 17 TSE!

That's nice. I can only hope to get one someday. I've seen a few though. One through a window while I was at work and again while driving recently.
Your pictures have improved a lot.
Thanks!
I'm actually amazed how many BE's I see in South Eastern Michigan. It's pretty much an industrialized area and I see them all through out the Detroit Tri-country area. It's usually around metro or state parks but still it was unheard of 5-10 years ago. Might be lucky to see one way up North 20 years ago.

Young deer posing for me at sunrise the other morning
Crazy process is due to bandwidth issues and full time travelling now
This image needs to be hanging on a wall somewhere. Nice.

Post the final printed result - an iPhone pic will do.
The calendars were finally printed and delivered, and I got around to taking a quickie shot of it hanging on my wall, partially shadowed by camera bags!
Image size on the full page is 15.5x22.5 inches -- not bad at all. Excellent printing, and pretty close to the earlier posted JPG.
These are really nice Rey! Even my wife who rarely comments on any picture, even mine, was passing by when I was viewing the first said "I really like that".

I'm really glad to hear that Gary and thanks! May you and your wife have a great Christmas and everyone here too.
A few weeks ago I went out to Eastern Creek raceway where an old friend (72 yr old ex rally driver) was having his final fling (at least that is what his wife believes)
Some really nice gear was there but it was the older stuff (Like Norm) who caught my eye
The F1 is the actual car that jack Brabham built and won the 1966 World Championship in with and engine developed from the BOP (Buick, Odsmobile, Pontiac) block
Not telling about that beautiful blue number other than to say it is one of three surviving and of course the yellow Volvo is Norm
