I apologize if I have posted this before, however, this one has been altered in LR3, so it should be a little different! Thank you, for your time, and viewing!
Just a long haired tabby.....she started out as a feral cat but I warmed her over. My other cat is a black smoke Maine Coon though....she is as ferocious as she is nappy...

Tried dropping ISO to 100, elbeasto? That'll help you...
Help how?
I suppose I could go lower but the D700 has a base ISO of 200 & I've read that the 'Lo' ISO settings aren't recommended.
Still, I can see how it would be better when shooting artificial light at night ala cityscapes, or just use an ND filter.
With your slow shutter speeds with cloud movement - that's how.
Dropping to ISO100 won't noticably affect your IQ, especially as you're shooting at small apertures with potential diffraction anyway. All it will do is double your shutter speed again.

Ah right, now I know what you're on about.
Will give it a go next time & see if it makes a difference.

Yeah, now about the nappy, we have had three over the years. Currently w/o one though!
Great photos in here! I like these types of threads as there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon!!
I am a bit nervous to post this - as I know very little about portrait work, but am willing to learn
This is from this past weekend at Leavenworth with the wife. Shot with the D700+85mm 1.8G @ f/2 - ISO 1250.
Processing these could not be more different than landscapes - sharpening especially!
