I was having serious probs getting camera to work at all and was trying all sorts of diff settings, Changing the aperture in this case jolted it into action
Turned out that humidity had gotten to the electronics of the lens and there was verdigris causing intermittent short circuits

Tim, Did you finally give up the ghost on that super taped up D70s when you got your D7000?

No way Laura,
It is still rocking although the 7k is my go to camera now, but when I go to PNG where law and order is pretty much unheard of ( In POM we are warned not to venture away from our Hotel compound without security) I will take the D70s although the 7k + 17-55 would make a better defensive weapon

Wow thanks Peter. You should check out Zach (Zaitz's Death Valley shots too somewhere in this thread, ooh la la)

In Franklin Ohio I came across the most beautiful 3d wall art I have ever seen. I have seen people do wall art but never like this. Apparently this guy was born in Franklin but travels all over the world painting walls. Extraordinary!!!
