Hello Harry. I am working in Manila for a global engineering firm for a 2-3yr assignment developing the local office so they can handle future projects without worksharing. I have just been to Cebu that one time to escape the hustle and bustle of Manila. Cebu is very nice and the people are much more laid back and friendly than Manila. What kind of work were you doing in Mactan?

Love the lighting in that shot Nik... well done.
Hey thanks. I was actually in the middle of a portrait shoot and during a 5 minute break, I went and snapped a few of the cat. Probably turned out to be the best shot of the shoot!

I Gary .
I was a Career Air Force Pilot, and we used the re-opened base during the Viet Nam War. Our main base was Clark, also Cubi Pt. NAS , at Subic Bay. Mactan took some load off from Clark. We rode an old WW11 LST from Mactan over to Cebu City.
Cheers
Harry
Liking the second pic, seems it's a little off, not sure if that's down to distortion, but it looks like it's off to the left a bit, looks like it's just the right hand side of the foreground platform being a little deeper than the left side.

oops, That was my cropping, because I framed it a little off centre in the first place

It's because the composition, while not quite the rule of thirds, presents an appealing balance when you look at it. It is a beautiful photo and a fine example of decent composition.
