The whole series is great. I will definitely want to put that on my list of places to visit when we go to Savannah! Your 16-35 is very sharp!
Thanks Steezus, Josh
I had two whiney women with me otherwise I would have been able to make it to the lighthouse and climb it as well (it's a 2 mile walk along the river that they didn't want to do in 100 degree weather....go figure ). This is at the south end of an island just south of Hilton Head...look it up. Next time, going by myself and first thing in the morning to get a late sunrise
And yes...my 16-35 is extremely sharp. I still do have recurring nightmares about how I sold my ZF 21 to get the 16-35....but then I remind myself that I can now shoot 1/10 of a second and nail 90% of my shots Even 1 sec shots are a good keeper rate with the D700 and superb VRII

What a gorgeous foggy morning sunrise Mr. Mcfadden!! Composition and colors does make one feel that they have arrived at the twilight zone.

thanks Gary
good to see ya man , it was a 3 minute exposure along the intercostal on the river into the gulf at Apalachacola Bay. All the light was sodium vapor. this scene was barely apparent to our eyes but i knew it would look like this having thought about it and getting a bit lucky with the fog
