Climbed some high cliffs to the east of the Arch and waited for all the damn tourists to leave after a rain storm.

Those both are wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing. I never pushed my cameras that far, it's good to know they can survive extreme weather

Thanks! Good insurance through USAA makes me feel even better than the weather sealing on the D700!

D40 with Nikkor 18-55mm kit lens. sb-900 in medium sofbox and sb-600,sb-800 to nuke background.

No, just a cable release Gary with the camera set to 'bulb'. Exif is intact but of the shots I took the exposures were anywhere from 3-33 seconds.

Did you alter the colours in post production? I know high pressure sodium HID lighting is the bane of all night photographers!

Thanks Anh. For this shot I believe I just tweaked the sharpness, vibrancy and saturation a bit using Adobe Camera RAW.
