Sydney in the middle of winter
Look, we might be the driest continent on planet earth and already suffering the effects of global warming but it isnt all bad This afternoon was shirtsleeve weather so I walked into the city and took a ferry ride to the ex naval dockyard, Cockatoo Island which is up harbour past the bridge
I'll try to check out cockatoo when I get back. I THINK i can see if from where I stay though I'll have to check. Did Nick Drake hold a concert there in January? Great shots, really nostalgic.

I tried to add this shot last night, but when I converted to the SRGB colorspace, the clouds changed color to such an extent that I didn't like it. I changed my workflow a bit to get the resulting web-sized jpg to match my NEF file. Hope you like it . . .

Hey Mr Twok
FM is about photography so if you want to push your seriously unsubstantiated minority views you can do so off line.
Tim
You were the one that brought up sudo-science not me. Don't expect me to lie down and take your propaganda. I came here to enjoy photography. There's no need for your political statement that started this.

TWoK, what settings were you using to capture those spectacular lightning shots?
1/800, ISO 400, f/11 with my standard in camera JPG settings. Let me know if you want any more info.
Tim, nice snaps from the island. I know what you mean about the weather being nice. I've been geeting some great photos with the mild winter we've been having the past years.
The unfortunate part to having mild winters is our snow seasons having been getting shorter and shhoter. I've been really keen to spend some time up there and do a photography series, might have to hurry that up a bit I think.
People are entitled to their views, probably not here though. However,
"A pseudoscience is a belief or process which masquerades as science in an attempt to claim a legitimacy which it would not otherwise be able to achieve on its own terms; it is often known as fringe- or alternative science."
"The most important of its defects is usually the lack of the carefully controlled and thoughtfully interpreted experiments which provide the foundation of the natural sciences and which contribute to their advancement."

And back to the photography.
Wow, exactly what I meant.

How can you suffer the effects from something that isn't real?
You didn't have to say this, and just enjoy/ignore the photos... This statement turned one guy's statement into an arguement that doesn't belong here.
