Go on show us. Very nice pics. You have an excellent eye for the world around you.
In regards to raw conversion do you think you would get any better results using something else other than NX or NX2?
Also, were those pics of the ship on the Waitemata side or Manukau?
Again, I really enjoy the work you show us. Thanks.
Hey thanks for that . Now to answer the NX/NX2 question, I think I did mention many moons ago that NX2 is ideal to use when the shot is perfect i.e. lighting and exposure is spot on. Recovering lost highlights and lows in NX2 is not that bad BUT if you want to completely change the look of the raw image, I recommend using LR2. My D1X images definitely looked better on NX2, with or without sharpening. Colours are spot on and the shadow details aren't lost. LR2 gives more freedom to change the feel of the image but if you want it as pure as it gets, NX2 I think is the one.
Also, were those pics of the ship on the Waitemata side or Manukau?
I'm not sure, but the mountain/island on the background is Rangitoto Island.
As for my "motorcycle ad" shot, I'd mull on it first . Think of it as a scandal sex scene .
These are some of my forgotten files. There are thousands more to sort out , that goes the same with my film collection. No post processing, no cropping. All were just loaded straight to NX2, that's it.

D700 with 50mm G, not happy with the sharpness in the corners, but I still like this picture.
no issue with corner sharpness with pics like this. i'd rather be worried about the halo's i see around the tree for instance. i think you overcooked the shadow/higlight recovery a tad there. probably a lightroom or acr conversion am i right?
the picture is interesting. i had to look twice to see what your subject is. cool idea, i think it would also work in B/W
