Well i have no clue how you'd like the colors to be on this one. All i can say is that this image looks mighty fine on my calibrated screen nice detailed shot. very clear.
I think my monitor is a little on the red side, that's why I'm concerned. Whole computer is pretty well messed up and is begging for a reformat and reinstall, so hopefully I'll have a chance to get it fixed soon. Glad it looks OK, I was hesitant to post it.

well the mountains look reddish/warm. the sky also is warm toned. But it suits this image. it's fine
OK, sounds about right I tell ya, I've used 3 different calibration tools with 3 different results (and none match my prints using the paper profiles either). Aren't computers fun?
well, it took a while but I finally made it through the whole thread...very impressive array of photographers around here & some excellent shots (too many to quote) posted! Sadly there are many missing shots but it still was worthwhile to peruse the whole thread.

Nice. The colours of the trees look very natural and not over saturated. The mountains are very dramatic.

Excellent ReyGay. So many people forget about the North Island and what it has to offer.
Trout fishing on Lake Taupo is one of the most satisfying boat fishing I have ever done.
Piha Beach, swam there many times, dangerous though, very dangerous.
Hey thanks. I know, the road to Piha itself is dangerous . They need to widen it a bit and make the path more uniform. When I do corners there, especially a nice low lean, the bike could lose traction due to the inconsistensies with the pavement.

hmmm all shot with a D1x hm? that's ancient... you almost make me believe that i do not need to buy a D700 or something like that.
Nice shots!
here a smiling girlfriend of Carlos
Yah, Carlos always puts a smile on my ugly face . The D1X being ancient, the hell it is! . The only reason I use it is due to its film like rendition, that's really it, otherwise, the battery is crap, LCD chimping is difficult, highlights blow up like hell and shadow detail can be poor , but the way it clips on the shadows is film-ish.

R. Francois, what's with the introduction of a giant watermark today?
Meh... still testing my new smugmug account and i've tried to add a watermark to some pictures. I'm hosting original fullres images there and a watermark seems a good idea. I've removed it already for nice presentation here on the forum.
