I was sitting in the bar at the Millennium Hotel on Lakehood and the light had been terrible all afternoon. I was waiting for around until I had to catch an airline flight back home after working an around the world trip. All of a sudden the light changed and I ran out and took a couple snaps of the float planes there. Shot with my D100 and 24-120.

Now Jumbo ... if you could only get a cow in that same position.
Pavel, could you explain that to me, please ?
It's hard to get a cow in the air

keep it comming!
Your repairs couldn't be worse than mine! I just had my one year old MacBook Pro run over Fortunately had everything backed up plus the machine it still ran. (Just couldn't see anything on the black screen ) The damaging party paid for a new one and I just connected the old one up via firewire target mode when I was configuring the new one and "wah la" (that's french you know) I was back in business.
Wow. These two are my favorites so far, for different reasons. The Red Headed Woodpecker was an accidental find when I was out in the snow, I heard noise behind me, turned around, and there he was in the tree.
Jumbo ... I was just kidding around, but when I saw your shot, I had it pop into my mind - that nursery rhime about the cow jumping over the moon. So if you could get a cow up there it would be perfect.
Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Ok, just had to post one more. This is from my D200 & Nikon 80-400. She'll kill me if she knew I posted it but you can't imagine how much I love her!
Hey Duane, my wife feels the same way, she's very critical about the pictures I take of here But, that's the cool thing about photography, we get to shoot to shoot the people we love, and they live to tell about it

Thanks Jack, I haven't posted much here lately as I've been busy learning everything I can about pulling our new used 34' Airstream travel trailer. Hope to get around the country in it and combine my photography hobby along the way.
