For lack of a micro lens, I used my 300 mm f/4 with the TC-14EII at f/5.6 and 1/1600s to shoot a Saguaro flower blooming in my front yard. Taken late in the day, so the flower had already started to close. Not bad, but I would have thought that the DOF would have been a little deeper at f/5.6.
Hi Gaylon,
Lots of things down under are different. Our poisonous (Extremely poisonous) snakes have blunt / square faces and non venomous are pointy. That little dude looks like he is a pointy. So how close are you or were you hypnotising him just to be on the safe side??

This is freaky Tim. I was at Oran Park on Saturday afternoon. I didn't do any photos of the rally school but did get some guys thrashing their BMW's, Boxster, and Audi at the Karting circuit and also snapped a couple of more serious machines on the South Circuit.
With the wind from the Northeast, the rally school was putting dust all over anyone at the South Circuit.
Couldn't stay for long my 18mo son was getting scared of all the noise.
Will post some pics later.
Liked your pic. Excellent shutter speed getting the wheel blur gives a sense of action. I think you just needed to have more open space at the left to help the composition.
