Mine just came back from Canon. $250.00. Watch out. They will also tell you that you need to replace the mirror box and sensor screen to the tune of about $900.00. However you don't need to replace either until you get over a million frames.

"Sensor screen?" Is that even a real part?
I sent mine to Canon a few months ago for a checkup. They said my shutter is fine (as it should be at 30k) and replaced my mirror foam for free.

Good question. I am assuming it is the screen in front of the actual sensor that you see when you trip the shutter. I think its what actually collects the dust and what you clean when you do a sensor cleaning. But then again what do I know? I sent mine in for a "preemptive" shutter replacement only because the $100.00 voucher that I got when I registered mine was about to expire, and because I had 241K frames on it. When I got a $900.00 estimate I called and raised holy heck. They revised it to $250.00 and my service order said that they still replaced the mirror box and sensor screen along with the shutter.
