I stop the car. Turn on the camera and approach the subject
and circle it a couple times at very close range. Way way
better than any still pic.
I use manual zoom instead of Optical or Digital Zoom
whenever possible.
As far as pics being better than video. The only ones that
wanted to see pics of the Hooded Crow were the newspapers
everyone else wanted the video. You guys and gals must have
blinders on.

You're just clueless and don't get the point. Move on and take your videos to a video forum.
Switched in a couple more vid with no deads.
(A ruffed grouse up close and a large squirrel den)
I think I'll download the one where I run after a Porcupine
I do try and get more of live wildlife.
But not tomorrow. If I go to the trapline.
You may hate the video but the animals are
beautiful. It would be nice to see somebody
set up a bait and capture them live with their
kittens.
One trapper (not a very good one) caught and
released the same Martin 2 times.
I'm a kid alright. And I'll bet your children would like a
look at these critters. They are incredible survivors.
Amazing, I was a professional videographer before going into still photography. I taught it and made money doing various video projects. Swamp, you're right, you are "way better" than all of us and you know more about everything than the whole lot of us put together, but you keep on keepin on. Shouldn't you be bored with us by now, and have moved on to "better" fields where your greatness is respected more? Of course you should, have a great future video man

I was expecting them to close this post.
If you were expecting that we were going to close this post is because you know that you shouldn't be posting these videos here.
As it was already said, this is a photography forum. It is for the presentation and discussion of photography and its techniques, not to discuss video, or hunting, or pollution. So I'm locking it and asking you not to post videos anymore.
