Thinking of getting a 5d this weekend paired with either of the lenses. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the EF 15 2.8 fish and 70-200 2.8 non-IS.

I shoot street, candid outdoor or non-studio portraits in low light. Occasional weddings.

I believe the 5D will be a wow...as I previously shot with only the 1.6x and 1.3x crop cams.

I plan to get the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 Di as a zoom during paid weddings or events.

35L and 135L, a great combo for your purposes.

5D + 35L is one of the best, if not the best low-light, no-flash, working sets you can get. I get a kick out of shooting natural looking photos when everyone else is popping off a flash.
