The second one is technically a great picture. But I find the first F-22 photo, from the refueling bay, to be emotionally far stronger. That one really made me catch my breath.
When a subject clearly suggests/conveys motion it often works out better if you leave more space in the frame on the side the movement points to. An airplane, especially a fighter jet, just oozes movement, even if it's static on a runway.
So, if you can, re-crop and see if it works out better with more sea in the backdrop to the (viewer) left side of the shot.

If you look closely in the HUD on the left you can see the tanker. I thought that was a good touch. At least I like it.
Great photos Jeremy. Do you usually have to get some sort of OK from the higher ups to post these photos or are you free to just shot away? I know they don't show anything but just was wondering what the rules were. Are you active duty or reserve?
Outstanding Jeremy! What does that canopy do if you polarize the shot? The reflection of the tanker and boom is really cool. I think this might be a signature shot for you. You get better every day Pardner and you were darn good from the get-go! I hope we get to fly together sometime.
All of our windows are polarized. So when I put one on the lens I get these dark gray lines through the photo. I don't know if other aircraft have the same problem. I'm guessing all the new ones do.
We WILL fly together someday. It is just a matter of time. Would love to head out to a few air shows with you and see the business side of things.

A quick one from today's show... shot about thousand shots over the last 2 days... one more day to go. Shot with a 400/5.6L w/1.4 attached. Yeah, no prop blur. No IS, so no slow shutter speed. I'll try that tomorrow.
