You should expect to pay GST and PST. But the gamble is this: ONLY if customs opens the package and asseses a value to it. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. They didn't with the stuff I bought from Hughso, but they usually do with me as I bring a lot of stuff into the country. They must have me flagged......
Planning to buy a Sigma 70-200 2.8 from you very soon. Are the prices of the Sigma lenses pretty stable right now? I see that the Canon prices have been going up recently. Also, can you tell me how much for shipping out to California? This thing weights much more than the prevoius item I have purchased from you. Just want to make sure that I ask the wife for enough money.

I'm pondering buying the Sigma 70-200/2.8 from you. I however do have a couple of questions;
Is the shipment somehow marked with the price it's insured for, and would this price reflect the ~$600?
I'm just wondering this, because I'm quite sure the package will be opened by danish customs. So I just have to calculate a total price including danish VAT.

Well, I bought it. I received it 3 business days after I paid Hugo, and everything was as promised.
So here's yet another success history about dealing with Hugo.
Now I'm just hoping for some better weather, so I can put it to proper use.
I ordered a Gitzo 2228 tripod from Hugo last month and it arrived in Scotland 3 days later in perfect condition! That's quicker than we get things from London!! I've used it every day since it came without problems and now can't imagine my photography without it. Plan to buy several more items from him over the next few months and highly recommend him to everyone looking for new gear. Many thanks Hugo for the excellent service!
How I wish I was one of the lucky guys like you to buy stuff from Hugo! Though Hugo helped find some used Nikon stuff for me - I couldn't buy it because I would have to pay 58% as duty !!! even on used equipment !!!!!!!
But I still would recommend Hugo to anyone - as I have been seeing his dealings ever since I became a member of this board.
