As this won't even get a look in on the People forum (no girlie or glam shot ), I thought I would post it here. I took this gent a month or so ago and did a touch of dodging and burning and this is what I came up with ....eventually.
strong image. i might like to see into the shadows of the face a click more. post these conversions on b/w vision where they will be appreciated best...skip
I like the PS work as well. Only suggestion I'd have at all is that I might try lightening the face just a smidge and see how it looks - with particular focus on getting some definition between the cheek/jowl and the collar... though, of course, it may just be that my LCD monitor isn't showing that, so take my suggestion with a grain of salt! =)
Very Strong. Is he praying? Crying? Is he tired? What is he thinking? Dramatic! I really like the lighting and how the shadows on the face really draws me more into the image to ask the questions above.
Sheila, I simply love this picture, but I am wondering how did you manage to capture that shot. What were your camera settings? I assume this was a candid public shot?
Can I see the original, unedited (but cropped) photo? I'd like to compare the before and after PP.
Here is the original image, converted from RAW to Jpeg, no PS, and resized for Image Upload. I used Optikvervelabs to convert to mono and did a bit of dodging and burning
