Hi,
Great photography, I have a question:
Were these photos using an umbrella, or softbox? if so which one?
Besides the lighting, one thing I quite like is the color of the pictures. What are you doing for post processing? A bit desaturation? What kind of curves you applying?
Hey y'all... sorry I haven't gotten back with you sooner. Classes have started back up and school is kickin my butt already. Anyways, thanks for the positive feedback, as always it is much appreciated.
Actually those particular pics were shot sans-softbox or umbrella. Just straight up with the crappy 7" silver reflector that comes with the bees. It was all I had at the time. So I had to just use it.
As far as post process goes. I generally do some dodging and burning, some curves adjustment, and some layering techniques with blend modes. And occasionally some desaturation.
Shot with one Hensel Integra 500 because a power surge knocked my other strobe out the morning of the shoot. Strobe to right of camera with medium softbox and reflector at camera left for fill.

Holy crap.... stunning stunning pregnancy shot.... I love it!
Bruce, love these photos...can you provide more info on your setup? For example, which softbox was used and how was it connected to your speedlight/bracket?
Finally have something to contribute - 1st shot with my AB800 with their 32 inch Bolly Box "Poor Man's Soft Box" but I like the effect Info on Bolly Boxer.
This is with my daughter using the 20D with 50mm f1.4 (1/250s at f7.1) and the single light. More to follow soon
