p.7 #1 · "WOW" Reaction Lenses of Yours

Sorry, none of the Canon lenses I have. Nor the Nikon one. The Zeiss glasses are the miracle! The first image I got from my Zeiss 100/3.5 on Velvia 50 is stunning! Accurate, saturated color and extremely sharp image.

I guess the 35mm format is the limitation and the zoom design. Sigh...

Gene, the reflection off the bird's eye in the first shot is fantastic. All nice shots.

Each of my lenses is a "WOW!!" lens.

10-20 - WOW that's WIDE and WOW that's Sharp.
50 - WOW! I have filters that cost more! and WOW that's sharp.
85 - WOW that's fast AF! WOW that's sharp and WOW! bokeh!

70-200 f/4 got me with the amazing bokeh. I'm a bit upset I sold it before I got my 5d.

Virtually any prime if well-focused and composed prrime will beat a zoom, handsdown. . I love zooms, but my with a 50 1.8 and, a 300D with this lens pretty much devastated my 20D with the 17-85 mm and taught me a lesson for low light indoor photography. She complained vociferously about the the lack of zoom, accustomed as she was to point and shoots, but got the best photos ot this event.

85 1.2 and the 400 5.6 - especially the latter, I had no idea I could do things like that with such a 'cheap' lens.

Zeiss 50/4 CFi = WOW! WOW!
Zeiss 60/3.5 CFi - WOW!
Zeiss 100/3.5 CFi - WOW!
Zeiss 120/4 Makro - WOW! WOW!
Zeiss 150/4 CFi = WOW

None of the Canons or Nikon I have. Anyhow, the 28/-70/2.8L, 70-200/4L and 300/4L IS are all sharp without the WOW!!

Canon 135/2L. No other lens has come close to the WOW factor that lens had.

135L. It is like having a fine Leitz lens for my Cannon. I like the 35L but I do a lot of people shots for my work and the 135L just does it right, if I am up to the task.

Oh man i got to use my school papers 300 2.8 IS......oh man that lens is something to die for, RAZOR sharp at 2.8, and focus was never off and was as fast as anything you could wish for and oh man the bokeh was RIDICULOUS.
Man i thought my 70-200 was great...if i had only known!

I was dedfinately WOWed by my Sigma 15mm f/2.8 180º fisheye (etc.)
It's very sharp, and it was my first thorough experience with an ultra-wide.

I still love it.
