Will we be condemned to a dark future?
Maybe not! Perhaps there's hope...

Wow, great shot, looks like a painting. I'm gonna be hard pressed to compete with that

Fantastic shot, Raul!!

If the "dark" future is this beautiful, I wouldn't worry.

Happy New Year, my friend!

That's exactly what I would like you to see.
The picture shows something (a refinery) that's helping to make a "dark" future but at the same time I tried to show it the nicest way possible (the hope).

This is a beautiful picture Raul, with great colors.
Isn’t funny that this ‘dark future’ picture is the only one in color while all the other five entries so far are black and white?
Happy New Year!

great image. You may want to resize it so you don't get disqualified for an image to large. That would be a shame.

rule#2: Your submission MUST have exactly 640 pixels for its longest dimension. (no less, no more)

Wonderful photo, Raul. So many elements begging for interpretation, none of which force you into any specific interpretation. I particularly like the dialogue between the clouds: numerous smokestacks chugging out their little puffs of steam cannot even hope to compete with the immense and overwhelming clouds produced by the sky. Nature triumphs yet again. Quite a majestic scene.

Fantastic shot. The light and colours are both vivid yet subtle. I bet this would look amazing blown up really big.

Very good subject but way, way too much post processing and colour manipulation for my taste.

That's funny, I only used a CP filter and a long exposure.
Post proccessing was USM.

What makes this photo a little strange is the fact that the weather was very cloudy on top, but on the right side the sun was shining intensely.
Its was shooted at almost sunset time.

This is an amazing image Raul and i wish you the best of luck with it.
It actually reminds me of something I've seen on a Pink Floyd video.
