Hello. I am selling a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM lens for 1350 USD.
This is the image-stabilized version of the lens, and I purchased it
in March 2004 from B&H Photo & Video. The only reason I am selling it
is to help pay for a car.
Here are 5 images of the 70-200 in its current condition:
(I have marked out the serial number in red in the 5th image.)
The date code for this lens is US0205, indicating that it was
manufactured in February 2004.
Both front and rear glass elements are clean; no scratches, no marks.
The plastic hood has some scuff marks from normal use. I have used
this lens with 1D Mark II, Digital Rebel (300D), and 20D bodies for
the last 18 months and have never encountered a lockup problem. There
is some slight cosmetic wear on the exterior paint (some of the
off-white paint has chipped near the lens mount; see 4th image above).
I am including with this lens a Wimberley P-20 lens plate. This is a
very sturdy plate used to mount the lens to a tripod. The plate
contains two little knobs (screws) on the end to prevent the lens from
accidentally sliding out of the quick release clamp.
My 1350 USD price includes the 70-200 f/2.8L USM lens, the P-20
Wimberley plate, the lens hood, and the soft pouch that came with the
lens. I do not have the original box (I threw it out to save space).
My policies: I will ship to continental USA and Canada only. I accept
only PayPal for payment. I will personally cover the 3% PayPal fee
and shipping charges for UPS ground or FedEx ground (your choice of
shipping method). Therefore, the 1350 USD price is the total price
you pay: no extra charges/fees.

A friend of mine bought a 300D from Butterfly with good result, so reseller ratings doesnn't tell the whole story. The real problem with the link cococlub posted is that it points to a non-IS lens, as opposed to the IS beauty that just got away...
