I have been trying all morning to think of a positive way to respond to this post. Joke? Possibly, but obviously it reflects your thoughts on others post all the same. Do consider posting your questions on the forum. You never know, there may be dozens more out there with exactly the same difficulties, but are too shy or embarrassed to ask for help. You would be helping them out.
This is how the forum works. It's a give-and-take. Rather, the other way around. Newbies come, ask questions, learn and understand. A year later, they're helping the latest newbies. That's what happened with me.
Unlike your self not all of us were born with superior knowledge, wit, devilishly hansom good looks, and a mastery of the English language.
"If we do not reach down and help others up, the day will come when by shear weight of numbers they will reach up and pull us down." I hope your time off gives you some time to reflect on such things.
Have a good time and bring us back a photo or two.
My ex-hubby must be right. I have indeed lost my sense of humor. I read your post twice and couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a joke or not.
If it's a joke, it didn't make me laugh. Maybe I need a funnybone transplant.
If it's for real, the you really do need a break. I usually take a week or two off from Photo.net because all the whiners, complainers and big-egos start to take it's toll on my patience after awhile.
Either way, something triggered your post and probably needs to be addressed. Have you thought of talking to a professional, taking drugs, or taking yourself on a vacation? Which brings me to a rant that you missed...what about all the people who give "sage" advice but don't really know what they're talking about?
And here's a quick message for when you return:. Welcome Back!
Can anyone tell me how to get the battery goo out of my flash? Will Canon cover that under warranty? It's actually a Vivitar but it does say that it's for Canon on it.
Thank you all for your help.
Paul, I was going to send you a message 'take your own advice in number 6 of your parting words' but if your gone you will not get it, looks like you may be selling all your equipment

Hey my 70-200F4 back focusses along with the 17-40F4, what is ISO, err 99, my pictures aren't sharp, and all those other redundant questions have been left off the list. Forgot the why doesn't my 430EZ work on my DSLR, etc, along with what type of bag should I buy for a 3 month trip question.
EA6B are my initials, my name is Edward Anthony Sixbee. I'm still waiting on the lawsuit against the Navy for using my initials on one of their damn planes.

Should we add a rant about totally impenetrable sig lines?
