That's a 350D (rebel XT), not 300D (rebel) - note the silver mode dial. The 300D's dial is dark grey and not shiny. So it's not QUITE as bad

john, there were a couple of "nikon in action" threads that never really got off the ground but i don't remember seeing any 200-400VRs in them. you can try again and see if anyone else responds.
