I think you're looking for the first link in the third post.
No one in the background even cares about the golfing going on because they're staring at this guy! I saw this in the thread but seeing it again - it always just blows me away.
Had to add another photo, just one of some of my gear a month or so ago. These were set up for fireworks.
Left: 17-40 4L, 20D + grip, sunpack tripod, and remote
Right: 24-70 2.8L, 1DIIN, giottos 8170 tripod + bogen 3421 head (forgot a pan/tilt head in the car, had to make do with that), and canon remote
Taken with: 50mm 1.4, 10D handheld wide open (sorry for how soft it is, I really need to send this lens in)
I'll have to find some more shots of gear in use...I'm wondering when I'll see another FMer at a local game or something like that...
and yes, they both are off, though I think it was due to timeout more than anything else.
Nice setup! What kind of whales do you get near Hawaii?? We get mostly Humpbacks near the eastern coast of Australia, but I am traveling down to South Australia and Western Australia in a weeks or so (if all goes according to plan) to photograph some Southern Right Whales, which are even larger than the Humpbacks. Looking forward to it, too!
This is kinda a new in the same series, Panasonic Toyota F1 Team showed a true F1 car on the streets and jarno Trulli was driving. Current estimate of spectators is close to 50 000:
