This is the inside of turn 2. This is one of the photograhers from the Indianapolis Star. Turn 2 is jammed against the warm up lane and the back of the F1 track. It is the closest you get to the track in general (on the indside anyway). There is no shooting break in the fence.

Turn 1 is much more spacious and includes a shooting break in the fence. (Turn 4 is much like turn 1.)

Turn 3 only has a short fence so plenty of open space to shoot (or chimp. In all fairness, the track was under

only ONE canon shooter at my sister's graduation today(beside me) looked like a mark II with 580EX and 200 1.8

there were a tpon of nikon shooters

turns out this guy was a shooter for the town newspaper, maybe thats the reason why he took so few shots.

I'm trying to find pics of people using the 500 f4 IS and 400 f4 DO IS - to better help guage the sizes.

These are the two lenses I'm considering adding to my collection over the next year or so - one for portability, the other for sheer reach - but I wonder about my ability to carry/use them. Then again, the 300f4 used to seem big to me, now it's nothing.

Thanks - didn't realize how much space the hood took up.. probably a nightmare fitting in the camera bag.

the 300 f2.8L IS is about the same size as the 400 f4L DO IS. the 400 f4 DO is lighter than the 300 f2.8L IS
