Well it started out as a hobby...
Just waiting for the low-down on the imminent Canon DSLR announcement before I commit (yes I have been waiting all those years). In the meantime I'm "borrowing" a 1D2/1Ds2 from time to time when needed - lucky it's the off-season for weddings here.
klam, did the security give you any problems at the Skydome (I refuse to call it the "R" word)?
When I went to the Steve Nash all-star game they gave me a hassle about my 50mm lens but let me in, luckily they didn't notice my 70-200mm tucked underneath. I had tickets to the game 2 nights ago but couldn't go.
Well on Bluejays.com they did say that cameras are allowed. The only restriction is that bags must be smaller than 16" x 16" x 8". My Lowepro Computrekker backpack was longer than 16" in one of the dimensions but they didn't notice. No hassles, they just inspected it.
I had my camera, 70-200, 85, 50, and 18-50 in there...
note: i originally posted this in the nikon forum's "nikon in ACTION" thread because the guy in the orange vest is shooting nikon but i think probably fits this thread better so i moved it over.
both of these are from the american le mans race at infineon raceway (a.k.a., sears point) back in july. i noticed a lot more pros shooting nikons that i've seen at other events...i guess the D2X is selling pretty well.
