p.12 #1 · Post Pics of Canon In ACTION

I work for an air medical company and am on tarmacs all the time. I've only been questioned one time and that was in Phoenix, AZ (our home base for the company). Security asked what I was doing. Told them taking pictures and showed them my airport ID badge and they left me alone. I'm always taking pics that way.

I was at a military re-enactment and the kid was just snapping away with that heavy setup all day. He will be able to hand hold a 300 2.8 in no time at this rate.

Concerning that photo at Beirut airport: I've been questioned a few times by the airport security but nothing major. They just want to make sure that we're no security threat. Only once I was asked to leave.

Other aviation photogs tell me that things have changed in the US but I think that's only because they are concerned about security around airports. Still though, there are many who practice the hobby regularly.

Here's me at last weekend's Molson Indy in Toronto. Unfortunately, my camera was the only thing getting any action.

Look at those bodies... and not a lens mount on one of them.

PS... could it have possibly been the ear muffs?

Well it's not quite an USM focus system, focal length would be around 4000 mm

Tripod is standard accessory on delivery

Looks expensive to use, you would have to get new glass after every shot.

F1 I think you mean Indy/Champ Car/IRL (at least they put on a show this year).

You can shoot at LAX. Imperial Hill and In and Out Burger spring to mind. In and Out lot attracts a lot in the summer
