I've seen some of the outstanding photos posted here, so it's with great humility that I post my first effort at macro. Shot in RAW with the Leica 100mm macro and 1Ds, converted in C1 set to Std sharpening, 124, threshold 0. No additional adjustments in PSCS other than resize and conversion to sRGB. Comments and criticism welcomed.
wow -- I've never really seen Leica glass before in person... I don't know that it's worth the crazy cost...but these photos really argue the case.... tres bien!

Merci bien! Leica makes some outstanding lenses and this is generally considered to be among their finest. They're not cheap, but if you shop carefully, you can get mint lenses at a significant discount from retail. This lens cost me about $200 more than my Canon 85 1.2. Not inexpensive, but not all that crazy
