I have shot this before and had to stitch a panorama, but now I have the Tokina 12-24 and it can "swallow" a whole scene like this:

Like a year ago, before these super-wides came about, I remember seing all the panos. But this is a beautiful picture.
thanks, sols. There are a lot of beautiful shoots on this tread, and this hole site.
this is the first really wide angle lens i have owned, had it 2 months. it is so cool!!!!
get one you will love it, typo it's a 12-24 not a 17-24 Tokina
This one was taken a couple of hours ago. There's a funny anecdote to this one: i came across this site by accident, and this thread was the first one i clicked on. It was cool to finally see some good work based on wide-angle lenses all grouped together in a single thread I'd been looking for a wide-angle solution for a while, but since i'm unable to use the EF-S lens mount, i was considering a fisheye lens. The images in this thread convinced me, so i went out and bought a 15mm FE. This image is one of the first that came out, taken just a couple of hours ago No 'defishing' performed.
