So how did you achieve such a perfect exposure right off the bat? How do you get spot-on exposure for the clouds, blue sky and the shadow side of the tree simultaneously? Bracketing, blended exposures?

Here are some from my newly acquired Peleng, defished. Not nearly as nice as many of your images, but then again, I also lack the experience

Derrick, that peleng is so CUTE! Lovely (and scary) shots.

I love that last shot, Clayton. Thanks for sharing.

Does anybody have any city (not necessarily street, but in a city, maybe of a building) shots that are equivalent to 20 and 24mm on full frame (so 12.5 and 15 on 1.6x crop)? I'm trying to figure how wide is wide enough.

fedv,

That's a beautiful mix of color. Plenty good enough for my living room wall!

I don't really have favorites when it comes to WA as most of what I do is WA.

For what ever reason, I don't see telephoto. For the life of me I don't know why. Hope you enjoy these last few shots.

Maybe someday I'll teach myself to see telephoto. Until then I'll be stuck in a WA world

Last one. In fact this is the last "official" image that I've made Hard to believe it was back at the beginning of May.

Thanks rico!

Kinda in a photograpic slump as I'm all messed up by this equipment thing and having to sort through all the BS.

Hoping to break free and clear as soon as I finish putting the newest leg set together. Once I do, I'm swearing off new equipment and lenses with the exception of the expected Canon 3D which should come out this year or in the near future for a long, long time.

Alex, only the Sigma 12-24 is compatible with full-frame DSLRs or 35mm film bodies. The others are useable on APS-C sensor sized DSLRs only.

Here's an image I've posted before but it's still a favourite. Sigma 12-24 @ 12mm, EOS1N, Kodak Gold 100.

cheers,
Merv
