p.1 #1Optical restoration of legendary lenses
Another Lens Restoration Day at HDT.

Today, we’re working on two legendary pieces of glass, each with its own optical challenges.

1. Hasselblad 110mm f/2 planar – The Legendary Super-Speed Lens

One of Hasselblad’s most iconic and sought-after lenses, the 110mm f/2 is known for its incredible speed and unique optical character. However, these lenses are also prone to internal haze and cleaning marks over time. Finding one with truly beautiful, clear optics after restoration is becoming increasingly rare.

This lens is going through a careful optical restoration process to bring its clarity and optical performance back to where it belongs.

2. Leica 35mm f/2 Summicron v4 KOB – Optical Restoration

This Summicron came in with deep scratches on its optical surfaces. It will undergo a specialized restoration treatment to address the damage and recover as much of its original optical clarity as possible.

At HDT, every lens deserves careful attention, precision, and respect for its original optical design.

Our goal is simple: bringing legendary glass back to its best possible optical condition.
