p.1 #1Anyone gone through the O-1 or EB-1 route as a working photographer?
I'm a landscape and travel photographer based in the US - several years of client work, features in a couple of regional magazines, some group shows and a placement or two in contests.I've been looking at the O-1B / EB-1A routes for artists and I'm trying to get a feel for how much of the 'extraordinary ability' evidence people actually expect from someone working commercially, not in the fine-art world. For those who have been through it: how did you handle press coverage and published work when most of your clips are local or trade? Did you end up needing an attorney who specifically handles artist cases, or was a good general immigration lawyer enough? And how much did exhibitions outside your home region matter?Trying to plan the next year or two of projects around this. Would love to hear from working photographers who've done it, not from lawyers selling packages.

Thanks for reading - or for stumbling in on this. While sorting my material I came across this breakdown of the EB-1A criteria with examples (https://www.o1eb1.com/en/eb1/eb-1a), which helped me map my local clips against the published-material side of things. Question for anyone who has been through it: when most of your evidence is regional or trade press, did USCIS accept that for the media criterion, or did you end up chasing national coverage first before filing?
