Time has come to part ways with this lens. Selling because the lens is more of a "nice to have" for birding due to its sidekick role to my 600mm lenses, and it doesn't see the use that it should, so sending it to a home where it'll get more love and attention. I am the first and only owner, and the lens has a flawless track record since I purchased it almost exactly 2 years ago.
Condition: amazing. Both the body and glass are pristine. Lens has been protected by an AlphaGvrd wrap since day #1, so no scratches. I've never dropped it or had it slam into a boulder, so no dings or dents. Finally, it comes from a smoker-free home, so it smells nice and clean too (mostly smells like the 3M vinyl wrap that protects it, actually).
What's it come with: original box and packaging, f/r caps, Nikon hood and foot, paperwork. In addition, comes with Zemlin hood, Hejnar Arca Swiss replacement foot. Also, a little piece from Zemlin that goes over the tripod collar knob that stops the Kensington lock flap from flapping around loose... this was probably the best purchase I've made for a lens yet
Not taking any trades, and price is net to me. I will pay for shipping. Prefer to deal only with established members.
Thanks for looking!

It's the "Military Green" color, and yes, it looks great! Also has a nice texture to it that gives some extra grip.

Sorry... I've never thought of asking if a lens slammed into a boulder before.
Did you go rock climbing with this or was this an exaggeration to explain the condition of the lens?
"or had it slam into a boulder,"

Just a cheeky exaggeration. The lens is in perfect condition.
