p.1 #1 · Fast Raw Viewer vs Photomechanic

I think I'm going to switch to FRV as Photomechanic is going to require an upgrade with Mac OS 28.

I just upgraded to OS 27 and some of my programs, including PM, didn't work without installing Rosetta... so I did.. and everlasting works fine now.

Thoughts on FRV?

I have both Fast Raw Viewer and ApolloOne Photo Video Viewer on a Mac.
It is the latter that I normally use for viewing images, raw, jpegs, etc. - give it a try.
I used Photomechanic in the past, when it didn't require subscription.

Just downloaded FRV... perfect for what I want to use it for

Not paying for PM... after OS 27

Too expensive.

FYI, Photo Mechanic ver 2026.2 is universal binary and does not require Rosetta therefore should continue to work in macOS 28.

I was using the version before that on 26.5… once I updated to OS 27, it required Rosetta install.
