Selling my Leica M6 Classic 0.72x, serial number 1682902. This is an early Wetzlar example with the classic Leitz red dot.
The camera is in excellent cosmetic condition and has been well cared for.
Previous owner owned it for 30+ years and had an extensive Leica factory service completed in April 2023 ($1,448.17), with original documentation. Work included replacement of the rangefinder assembly, both shutter curtains, exterior leatherette, and various seals and internal components.
The service was performed by Leica Camera USA, and the invoice references the camera's serial number. Copies of the complete three-page invoice are available.
The camera features the mechanical shutter, built-in TTL light meter, and 0.72x viewfinder with 28/90, 35/135, and 50/75 framelines.
I'm looking to consolidate my collection and move to a simpler set up.
Asking $3,600.
Trades: Interested in a Leica M10-R or M11-P Safari, with cash added on my end as appropriate.
