p.1 #1 · Will your kit fit? A new tool on the revived Cambags site
Hi everyone,
After eight years away, I’ve brought it back online https://cambags.com with a new look, an updated catalogue for 2026, and the original owner reviews and packed-bag photos.
One new feature I’m particularly keen to get feedback on is the 3D camera bag visualiser. It’s designed to help answer that familiar question before buying a bag: will my camera and lenses actually fit?
It’s still in beta, so it’s a planning aid rather than a guarantee of fit—padding, dividers and the flexibility of a real bag all make a difference. If you own one of the supported bags, I’d love to hear how closely it matches your experience.
If you remember the old site, welcome back! And if you’re discovering it for the first time, I hope it helps with your next bag search. New owner reviews, packed-bag photos and suggestions are very welcome.

It does not seem to do anything. Practically nothing is happening on the various tabs or data fields. I could not get anything from the bag field nor the gear field for example.

Working fine for me. Pretty cool actually, and good range of stuff to sample. Pretty cool functionality, especially for a free option. Would love to see it expanded to include more newer bags and camera equipment in the future, but obviously I know this is a proof of concept and relaunch, so no judgment there.

While my only first experience with this, I find that it could be a very useful tool. I will need to try again from my computer and not my phone. Thank you for developing this.

Welcome back and thank you for reviving the site. I found it very handy back in the day.
From a quick look, the Gura Gear Kiboko doesn't take into account the butterfly flap opening, or the curvature of the bag at the top. Similarly the Mindshift Backlight 26 doesn't take into account curvature. I imagine that's somewhat tricky to work out based on the published dimensions, perhaps a conservative radius calculation could be generalised as a stop-gap?

Hey thanks, glad to hear that.
Yes its a difficult one with the bag visualiser, i did add a soft bag allowance to adjust some flexibility but it wont take into account the exact shape or the opening type, its really just taken from internal dimension they publish. If i was a manufacturer i could do it but when i have over 2000 products its not feasible unfortunately.
I'd be interested to know how your gear is fitting in your existing bags. I only have a lowepro backpack these days, and that was quite curved but it did do pretty accurate job of fitting my gear in.
